Former New Patriotic Party chairman for New Juabeng North constituency, Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang has sent a word of caution to Ghanaian youths who engage in Politics that Parliament is not a place for boys.
Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning, on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Boateng Agyemang advised students and Ghanaian youths who engage in politics to learn and emulate from the counsel of elders in politics and politicians who are well grounded, as student politics differ from politics in the real world.
He stated that ”The last time i watched one of NDC’s crisis when the counsel of elders had a meeting, i looked at the personalities who were parading as counsel of elders and compared them to NPP counsel of elders God has blessed us with, it encourages us that our youth who follow our fathers and elders have to learn a lot from them. It is very very important that we watch NPP’s Kufuor, Nana Addo, Hackman, J Barwuah, Kojo Mpianu, Addo Kufuor, and Professor Oquaye who are all close to their 80s.
When we are taking a step and do not learn something from them till the time of their demise, it would be a great shame so that is what i am leaving NPP youth with. We must learn, that is why we regard the elders as such. They have gone through the mill and understand the political system. When it comes to student politics, we all have practised before so when you’re in school and you feel like doing politics because you have seen Sammy Awuku, we must learn so it can be passed on to the next generation .”
