It would be recalled that in a traumatic and brutal manner, Mr. John Mahama’s special aide, Stan Dogbe decided to smash a recorder belonging to GBC journalist in the former’s presence.

Nothing was heard of Mr. Mahama or Stan Dogbe replacing the gadget that was being used by the harmless journalist to record the words of the former President.

It is on this note that the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako has sort to find out if Mr. Mahama has made provisions for a replacement 5 years after leaving office as President.

The NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi who spoke to Wontumionline and Movementtvonline.com, explained that Mr. Mahama is a “big hypocrite” and it was rather under his government that the press suffered oppression.

“You directed Stan Dogbe to destroy the recorder which was being used by a pressman who works for GBC and your common sense didn’t even tell you to replace it. Today you are talking about pressmen suffering under President Akufo-Addo which is not true”, Chairman Wontumi said.

He continued that it was rather the laws of Ghana which was controlling the “stupidity” of “NDC members pretending to be pressmen”.

Stan Dogbe, a former presidential staffer and currently the man who handles Mr. Mahama’s social media accounts, reportedly admitted destroying a voice recorder belonging to a reporter at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation.

The smashing of the recorder happened after journalist, Yahaya Kwamoah of GBC Radio on Thursday August 20, went to the 37 Military Hospital where presidential correspondents were hospitalized after an accident which killed Ghanaian Times reporter, Samuel Nuamah. Yahaya Kwamoah.
