The attack on the Ayensuano EC office is one of several violent incidents recorded in the aftermath of the recent elections. Police investigations into these disturbances have intensified, with authorities vowing to bring all perpetrators to justice.
“All suspects are in custody assisting the Police investigation, and they will be made to face justice,” the statement emphasized.
The Police also reassured Ghanaians of their commitment to maintaining peace and stability. “We wish to once again assure the public that the Police and other security agencies are committed to the protection of our communities to maintain law and order,” the statement concluded.
These arrests form part of a broader crackdown on incidents of nationwide election-related violence.
