The Ghana Police Service has reported a calm post-election environment across the country, with no major incidents recorded on Wednesday. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director of Public Affairs, stated that security agencies remain vigilant and committed to maintaining peace during the transition period.
ACP Ansah-Akrofi revealed that nine additional suspects had been arrested, bringing the total number of post-election-related arrests to 115. She highlighted ongoing measures, including joint military-police patrols, intelligence-led operations, and static security at key government facilities.
She urged citizens to report security concerns via the toll-free number 0800 311 311, emphasizing the need for collective effort to sustain national peace and order.
The National Election Security Task Force continues to ensure Ghana’s stability through proactive measures and collaboration with the public.
