Ghanaian rapper Pope Skinny has shed light on his current relationship with dancehall star Shatta Wale, revealing that despite past misunderstandings, they remain on good terms.
Speaking in an interview on Adom FM’s Ofie Kwanso show with host Jerry Justice, Pope Skinny acknowledged that while they’ve had disagreements in the past, their bond remains strong.
“We had a misunderstanding and couldn’t solve it indoors, so we brought it out to the public. But now, we are no more like that. I am too mature to have issues with Shatta Wale. He is my guy, my friend, and I do not have any problem with him,” Pope Skinny shared.
He admitted that although their disagreement became public, it was just one of many quarrels between them.
“We have fought many times, and this is the only one that came out… He said something that pained me, but I had to let the people know it wasn’t true. But for life, I and Wale, we are for life.”
Pope Skinny also revealed that he had recently reached out to Shatta Wale when he arrived in the country.
“I sent him a message that he should come and pick me at the airport, but he didn’t come. I even told some of his people. It would have been beautiful for him to do that, but he knows where I am, so I believe he will surprise me with a visit.”
