A communicator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Kwadwo Agyei Yeboah popularly known as Nana Kay, has stated President Akufo-Addo’s response to the people of Kwabre East was genuine and responsible.
The President on Monday 17th October 2022, in an interview stated he is not threated if the people of Kwabre decides to vote for NDC in the 2024 elections, in their quest to demand for their roads to be fixed.
Speaking to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show Nana Kay said that ”people have misquoted the President’s response-some people were trying to blackmail the President by telling him that if he doesn’t fix their roads they won’t vote for them. Why should you say that to the President? We should understand that bringing the party in power did not rest on one person and the party didn’t win elections because of one person’s vote. If we are all to threaten the President what becomes of his Presidency?”
”For me the response the President gave was reasonable and genuine. The people of Kwabre knows perfectly what the President has done in their Constituency. The blackmailing won’t help all of us”, he added.
President Akufo-Addo has however assured that he will fix the Kwabre roads.
