A communicator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ellen Ama Daaku has pleaded with President Akufo-Addo to bring to the public defaulters of the missing 17 billion dollars financial irregularities.
Speaking on Movement In The Morning Show with Kwaku Dawuro, Ama Daaku said that ”government is not a spending officer- the minister does not make payment. The ordinary Ghanaians who work at these spaces are the ones in charge. The people behind the missing 17 billion should be fished out. We must learn to account for funds”.
”The President has requested for the report in four weeks, that is in the direct direction. We are all waiting for the report, we must know the people behind this. We are going for 10 billion from IMF, meanwhile 17 billion is in people’s pocket”, she stated.
She added that the report should be published, adding they should be named and shamed. Meanwhile credit rating agency has rated Ghana’s economy downwards.
