Publish Appointees’ Qualifications- Dr Forkuo Tells Pres Mahama

You Have A “Small” Vision For Ghana- Dr Forkuo Jabs Mahama

A senior lecturer at the Kumasi Technical University, Dr. Solomon Forkuo, has urged President Mahama to publish the full list of qualifications of all his government appointees to restore public confidence.

This call comes in the wake of several controversies surrounding the qualifications of some appointees.

Recent cases include Anne Sansa Daly, who was appointed to the board of the National Health Insurance Authority despite allegedly possessing a fake doctorate degree. Similarly, Dr. Rashid Tanko’s PhD credentials have been questioned, with allegations that the institution he claimed to have attended does not exist. Malik Basintale’s degree qualification has also faced scrutiny, with allegations of falsification.

Dr. Forkuo believes that by publishing the qualifications of all appointees, from the Chief of Staff to District Chief Executives, President Mahama can help prevent further embarrassment and ensure transparency in government appointments. This move would help to build trust and credibility in the government, he argues.

He spoke to Kwaku Kyeremanteng on Wontumi TV.
