Refusal To Seek Permission Before Campaigning Can Result In Disqualification- MP For Asante Akyim

Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North constituency, Honorable Andy Kwame Appiah-Kubi, has cautioned potential Presidential candidates of the New Patriotic Party to follow the right procedure to avoid disqualification.

Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning, on Movement TV/Wontumi, Mr Appiah categorically stated that the recent council meeting which was held to decide on the date for the upcoming primaries, came to an agreement to instill discipline in the New Patriotic Party, therefore advising the potential Presidential candidates to do well to follow all the necessary process in order to avoid being disqualified.

According to him ”Now everyone is satisfied because there is a saying that goes like patience is the best virtue. When we all had patience, both sides are happy about the time table we’ve released so we will all work towards it. Moreso regulations that are attached will provide stability, and you know when we prepare government bill or other project now or even application, everyone will be needed in parliament so there is no way we would have a meeting with people in opposition present.

Their lying schemes makes them think it’ll pave way for them to overthrown people and take over in parliament. Their incoming regulations are all lies. Our regulation states that you will only be permitted to campaign only if you pick a form, get vetted and finally be granted permit, but if doesn’t happen that way and you do your own thing and we get hold of evidence, you’ll be sanctioned which includes disqualification, so we can instill discipline in the party for us to work together happily.”
