Volta Regional Organiser for the New Patriotic Party, Korsi Bodja, has blamed the National Democratic Congress for their campaign against e-levy resulting in the reintroduction of road tolls.
Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning, on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Korsi Bodja pointed out the fact that road tolls was not a crime, but it was not included in Government’s intentions to reintroduce it since it wiped it out of its system. According to him the NDCs have put government in a position where it is left with no choice than to reintroduce road tolls by working tirelessly to make the E-levy ineffective.
He stated that ”I think the reintroduction of road tolls is in place considering the situation government finds itself in. In fact we all know the reason why road toll was abolished, which government was of the view that if E-levy was able to take effect, there would not be the need for road tolls. But we all know how spirited the NDCs sponsored a campaign against implementation of the E-levy, just like they also did to free education which is known by all, as one of the biggest intervention in the lives of the Ghanaian child.”
