Reshuffle Alan Kyeremanteng and Shirley Ayorkor Botwe- Hon. Addai Nimoh Says

A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon Francis Addai Nimoh, has called for the reshuffling of Alan Kyeremanteng, Shirley Ayorkor and three other Cabinet Minsters to different sectors, stating they have been in their post for a long time.

Speaking to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show, Hon Addai Nimoh stated some of the Ministers have been at their various post for a long time, and is about time they are reshuffled.

In his submission he said that ‘’the President has the sole right to delegate power and if you are fortunate to get the chance to lead take it as a privilege because it will help you as a person and the country. I agree to the reshuffling, and it does not mean I hate anyone by calling for it. You can’t be at a particular sector for a long time- there is the need for switch to help you learn as an individual, to help you challenge yourself and for efficiency”.

”The finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta for instance has been working for two terms. And this has never happened  in the history of Ghana’s politics. Since 1993, no finance minister has been in power for more than a term. The dynamics shows a Finance Minister can only serve one term”, he added.

In furtherance he stated that ”Allan Kyeremanteng, the trade minister has been in the trade sector for over 10 years- if he is taken to another sector it will give him a new opportunity to grow and learn new things. The Defense Minister, Hon Dominic Aduna Bingab Nitiwul, Hon Afriyie Akoto the Agric Minister ,the Interior Minister Mr Ambrose Dery, and Hon Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey , the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration must all be reshuffled to other sectors for effectiveness”.

He added that when a person is taken to another sector it serves as a challenging platform for the individual.
