The Okaikwei South first vice Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Daniel Nkrumah has advised that the Government could be generating enough revenue from road offenses when the laws are enforced.
Speaking to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show, he said that “the system is loose to the extent that everyone does what they want. Traffic offense is an avenue the government could be generating enough money from. When offenders are arrested and arraigned before the court and are fined, this will bring discipline in the society and also rake in more revenue”.
“But the narrative is different, the enforcers of the law which is the police I’m told, end up taking bribes from the offenders and allow them to go scot free, and that isn’t helping us”, he added.
He further pleaded with the President to deal drastically with the housing deficit of the country.
