Hundreds of mourners on Thursday, November 28, 2024, trooped to Ejuratia in the Ashanti region for the one-week observation of the late Akua Donkor.

Madam Donkor, the founder and 2024 flagbearer of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), passed on October 28, 2024, following a brief illness.

The sudden demise occurred at the Ridge Hospital, where she was receiving medical attention.

She was 83.

Clad in red and black attire, the mourners, including people from all political divides, Ejuratia residents, and the media, thronged the Ejuratia funeral grounds to commiserate with the family.

Some of the mourners also wore t-shirts with the inscription ‘3ny3 nono,’ a popular slogan she was known by and that resonated with many Ghanaians.
