A six-year-old boy named Theophilus Eleke Lordgist was electrocuted by a container shop in Gomoa Fetteh Kakraba in the Gomoa East District of the Central region.
The shop’s owner has been identified as Pastor Bernard Obi, a reverend minister.
According to eyewitnesses, Pastor Bernard Obi electrified his shop to prevent burglars from stealing from it.
Unfortunately, the young boy unknowingly touched it, resulting in his death.
The Awutu Breku District Police Command has transferred the boy’s body to the police mortuary for autopsy and preservation, while the pastor has been arrested for further investigation.
Madam Elizabeth Duah, mother of the minor reacting to the incident described it as painful.
According to her, an autopsy has been requested but she does not have the resources to pay for it and wants authorities to intervene.
