Sensational Ghanaian gospel artist, Bernice Ansah, has called out some Ghanaian self acclaimed men of God, for looking down on gospel artists in Ghana.
Speaking in an interview with Shatta Michy, on 24th February, 2023, on Movement Showbiz, on Movement TV, Bernice Ansah lamented on the fact that some Ghanaian men of God despise Gospel musicians. According to her they would rather pay huge sums to foreign gospel artists for their shows, and exempt the local artists.
”Sometimes some of the men of God look down on Ghana gospel musicians. The reason why I’m saying that is because, i know of one Pastor here who for some reason i will withhold his name, anytime he organises a show he will never invite any Ghanaian gospel musician. He personally said he doesn’t like Ghana Gospel music, but would rather book flight ticket and pay huge amount in dollars to foreign gospel artists especially Nigerian artists, in order to have them perform at his shows, sometimes twice a year. But when he wants to do his spiritual works, it is our own local songs he sings in his church.” She Lamented.
