A member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yaw Owusu-Swanzy has told ousted NDC MP for Assin-North, James Gyakye Quayson to securing a sleeping place at the Nsawam prisons.
He said it’s very disappointing that the former MP wants trouble for himself, by still showing interest to contest in the Assin-north by-election, when he’s already facing criminal charges in court after he was ousted as MP.
Adding that James Quayson should have taken a clue from what happened to Abu Sankandi and advised himself because if he doesn’t take care, he will end in jail.
He spoke on Movement In The Morning Show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio.
“It’s very surprising that as humans, we don’t like peace at all. We have seen it happened before. Abu Sakandi died after he was released because he had been through a lot and the shame was just too heavy for him. Instead of him to show remorse should that he could be pitied, he’s rather making matters worse for himself for showing interest to contest the Assin-north seat again”, he said.
He noted that the statement he released with regards to his ambition to contest again in Assin North is likely to infuriate the court and therefore they wouldn’t temper justice with mercy.
“You better advise yourself…don’t be deceived by your party because if you don’t take care, the consequences will be very severe than you can carry”, he added.
