Stop Acting Childish And Disrespectful- Gordon Asare-Bediako Criticizes Alban Bagbin

Broadcast journalist Gordon Asare Bediako has slammed Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin.

Speaking on Movement TV’s Movement In The Morning show, he criticized Bagbin’s remark about visiting the Supreme Court in 1983, deeming it as childish and disrespectful.

Asare-Bediako questioned Bagbin’s intentions, saying, “Why aren’t you the Chief Justice then?

Did you teach yourself at law school?” He accused Bagbin of trying to prove superiority over Supreme Court judges.

Gordon also referenced a person who traveled abroad in 1962 with nothing to show for it, contrasting them with others who traveled recently and built properties in Ghana. “Who started first isn’t the case,” he emphasized.

The Supreme Court recently ruled against Bagbin’s declaration of four parliamentary seats as vacant, deeming it unconstitutional. Asare Bediako challenged Bagbin to publicly oppose the ruling.

“Bagbin, who do you think you are?” Asare Bediako asked.

“We’ve seen more competent Speakers of Parliament. Even your own member, Muntaka, said he’s never seen a speaker as authoritative as you. You behave like a village chief…”

Speaker Bagbin doesn’t respect himself but expects to be respected,” he added.
