Former Member of Parliament(MP) for Ekumfi constituency, Hon. Francis Ato Cudjoe, has called on the media to shift blame to the security agencies and the Interior Ministry over Aisha Huang case.
The galamsey queen, Aisha Huang, was deported in 2018 after she was arrested for illegal mining. She was recently arrested in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region after she sneaked into the country using unapproved immigration route with a pseudo identity.
Speaking on the arrest of the galamsey queen with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show, Hon Cudjoe said that ‘’everyone is blaming politicians, meanwhile the security force and the Interior Ministry must be blamed. The state institutions must be seen working. Majority of the people who voted for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are angry because of the negligence, lapses and incompetence of some of the state institutions. Journalists should call on the Immigration Officers, NIA officers and the police to answer questions about how Aisha got the chance to enter into the country and how she had the audacity to get another card although she is already holding an identity card”.
Hon. Appiah Kubi advised the Chief Executive Officers (CEO’s) of the various State Institutions to ensure their employees have the specialty, and organize for people to have the right training to work efficiently.
