Government’s spokesperson on social services, Alhaji Fofana has urged Presidential aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and their supporters to stop inciting the grassroot against the party.
According to him, for every candidate that has pulled head to contest in the flagbearship race is competent and capable of leading the party in the 2024 general elections, however, it’s about who could help the party break-the-eight-year jinx.
He observed that due to the wrestle for power, some aspirants and their supports who are on a campaign train, have been saying all sort of things against their contenders, in order to win the heart of delegates to vote for them.
However, he believes such move will go a long way to haunt the party- as he advised them to put the party and the general elections in 2024 first, in every decision they take because the goal is to remain in power beyond 2024 and not about who leads the party.
