Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to deliver a strong performance against their archrivals, Asante Kotoko.
The Phobians are set to face the Porcupine Warriors on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium in a Matchday 13 encounter.
Despite failing to secure a victory against Asante Kotoko in their previous encounters last season, Ouattara remains optimistic about his team’s chances this time around.
He emphasized his commitment to achieving a positive outcome.
“I think I have this privilege, I’m coaching one of the two teams. Look it’s a privilege for me…but the motivation is my three points or get a point to bring back home and my boys also are very motivated, and determined,” he told MAX TV.
The Ivorian manager highlighted the significance of the fixture, saying, Asante Kotoko versus Hearts of Oak is always big—because of the fans, the history, the rivalry and we are going to deliver,” the Ivorian manager added.
Asante Kotoko heads into the match with just one win in their last five games, while Hearts of Oak are unbeaten in five matches, having secured four victories during that run.
The clash, eagerly awaited by fans of both teams, is scheduled to kick off at 15:00 GMT.
