Supreme Court Has Final Say on Constitutional Matters- Franklin Osei Owusu

A member of the NPP communications team in the UK, Franklin Osei Owusu, has emphasized the Supreme Court’s authority on constitutional matters.

He stated that Speaker Bagbin’s refusal to accept the Supreme Court’s process was inappropriate, instead trying to impose his decision on the court.

Owusu noted that even the President and Vice President are subject to the Supreme Court’s jurisdiction.

Owusu criticized the NDC’s handling of illegal mining, which he claimed began during former President John Dramani Mahama’s tenure and has now spiraled out of control. He accused the NDC of attempting to create chaos, recognizing their impending election loss.

Despite economic challenges, Owusu highlighted the ongoing free Senior High School (SHS) program and nurse recruitment initiatives under the NPP.

He contrasted the NPP’s achievements with the NDC’s record, stating that Ghanaians experienced no comfort during President Mahama’s time.

Owusu advised President Mahama to shift his political approach from insults to policy-focused discourse. This statement comes amid ongoing political discussions in Ghana.
