First vice chairman of Dome Kwabenya constituency, and member of the communication team for the New Patriotic Party, Paul Opoku, has called on Government to consider former MP for New Dwabeng, Dr Assibey Yeboah to assist the finance ministry.
Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning, on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Mr Opoku was of the view that President Akuffo Addo, should consider Dr Assibey as someone who can assist in the finance ministry as he is inclined in managing finances .
According to him ”As far as I’m concerned, former MP Mr Assibey Yeboah, is highly inclined in managing finances, so the President can tap him if possible to help the Finance Ministry.”
He further highlighted on concerns regarding the Ministry of Trade and industry, stating that opportunities can be given to the youth to handle it, since they understand trade much better as well as politics.
He said ”When it comes to the Ministry of Trade and Industry, i’m not disputing the fact that the elders have enough knowledge and experience, but with the fastest pace at which the world is evolving, i believe we can get quite a number of young entrepreneurs that understand business and trade much better, and understand a bit of politics. Hence they must be given the opportunity to handle it.”
