The Anti-Free SHS Campaign By The NDC Is Just For Political Points- Alexander Arthur

The communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) in the Sene East constituency, Alexander Arthur, has observed that the anti-free SHS crusade by the opposition NDC is just to score political points.

He noted that with the introduction of free SHS, Kejebi SHS alone has seen a massive admission of students which tells that many who wouldn’t have had the opportunity to be in school, are doing so- as over 2000 students are currently in the school, as against about 300 students who were there prior to the introduction of free SHS.
According to him, the NDC knows that the free Senior High School policy by the NPP is a game changer and will make it difficult for Ghanaians to kick the ruling party out hence their reason for painting the policy ‘black’.
Speaking on Movement in the morning with Kwaku Dawuro, Arthur noted that “I believe those who are calling for a review of the policy have accepted that the free SHS is changing lives and changing the destiny of Ghanaians- of which the students have realized that there’s a party that could change lives and therefore they(NDC) have decided to say otherwise about the policy so that Ghanaians will vote against us; it’s just for political points”.
“For me, I will urge Ghanaians to be very vigilant and not be deceived by the NDC, because if it happens, they will cancel the free SHS policy”, he concluded.
