Ace broadcaster, Gordon Asare Bediako has pleaded with the government to do everything within its capabilities to ensure that the Suame interchange sees the day of light.
He noted that the failure on the part of government will go a long way to affect the fortune of the party in the 2024 elections.
“I was in Kumasi over the weekend and for every social event I attended, the town folks were talking about the construction of the Suame interchange. I’m pleading with government to ensure that as Parliament resumes today to consider the approval of certain loans, another one should be laid before the house for the Suame interchange”, he said on Movement TV.
He described the project as an emergency, advising that the was the urgent need for government to take care and address concerns of the Ashantis.
Noting that there’s nothing so exceptional that the Ashanti’s need from the government despite the support they continue to give the NPP, all they need is respect and the government must show them the respect by constructing just a single interchange for them.
“How difficult is this demand? The indigenes are not happy at all. Meanwhile, these are the people that always ensure the NPP is in power”, he lamented.
Advising that government shouldn’t wait till election period before starting the construction of the Suame interchange.
“How much will it cost? It’s about priority”, he stressed.
