Leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) must start reasoning like adults, lawyer Andy Appiah-Kubi has advised.
The Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North constituency stated on Wontumi TV that the move by the Minority in Parliament to file an injunction application at the Supreme Court against the implementation of the electronic transfer levy E-levy was theatrical and needed to be stopped.
“It is time to tell the NDC that the theatrical moves are old and needs to be stopped. Their jokes are becoming too many and they need to start speaking sense and see governance as a serious business”, the MP for Akim North fumed.
After E-levy was passed, the minority leader of Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu together with Mahama Ayariga and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, dragged the Attorney-General to the Supreme Court over the approval of the Electronic Transactions Levy (E-Levy).
They are contending that Parliament did not have the required number of at least half of its members present, when the controversial tax policy was approved.
But Lawyer Appiah-Kubi responded that the leadership of the NDC “should stop the propaganda and start reasoning like adults.”
Typical of NDC, Lawyer Appiah-Kubi predicted that he is convinced they would go to court with no evidence.
