1st Vice Chairman of Okaikoi south constituency, Daniel Nkrumah, has urged Ghanaians to be patient with the Finance Minister as he proves his competence with time.
Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning, on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Mr Nkrumah reiterated that Ghanaians severely backlashing Ken Ofori-Atta, did not stop him from putting in effort to make the economy stable and better. He said this following the cedi appreciation and reduction of fuel prices.
According to him traders have refused to reduce prices of commodities even after cedi appreciation against the Dollar.
Mr Nkrumah during the interview said ”We tend to blame and insult the government when we finish cheating ourselves. We had mixed feelings when we backlashed the finance minister, and the President refused to dismiss him, because we didn’t know what was happening, but at a point we felt the President knew what he was doing, so if he says the Finance Minister has performed well, let’s wait and see. It can’t be that the Finance Minister is wicked to the extent of putting Ghanaians through hell.”
