A group of pastors, under the umbrella of ‘Fathers Court’, has decided to actively campaign for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming elections.
The decision, according to the President of Fathers Court, Rev. Kwabena Agyemang, was motivated by the government’s impressive track record of development and good governance, as tracked by the government tracker.
Speaking to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV, Rev. Agyemang stated that the pastors, who number around 300 in Kumasi and 110 in Accra, have held a general meeting in Kumasi and are planning another in Accra to strategize and mobilize support for the NPP.
He emphasized that they are not members of the NPP but are compelled to support the party due to its positive impact on the country.
Rev. Agyemang cited examples of the government’s achievements, including its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, where food and resources were distributed efficiently to vulnerable communities.
He also mentioned the significant investments in road construction, which have improved connectivity and facilitated economic growth.
Additionally, he highlighted the success of the free SHS program, which has increased access to education for thousands of students. Furthermore, he noted the government’s absorption of dialysis costs, which has alleviated the financial burden on families with loved ones requiring dialysis treatment.
Rev. Agyemang emphasized that the government’s good works must not be overshadowed by the opposition’s lies and misinformation.
“I’m urging all pastors to join the campaign- their collective voice and influence can make a significant difference in shaping the country’s future. I believe that the NPP is the only party that can lead the country forward and build on the progress made so far,” he said.
