A communications team member of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) , Ishmael Adams, has advised the elected executives of the party to end what he described as honeymoon, and start working.
Speaking on the 30th anniversary thanksgiving service held by the NPP, he told Kwaku Dawuro that “looking at the Russia-Ukraine war, covid-19, which has caused hike in food prices and petrol- but Ghana has food in abundance and there haven’t been a shortage of fuel. That is so heartwarming and we must glorify the almighty God that the NPP has come thus far”.
He made this known on Movement In The Morning Show on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV.
Adding that “we shall do everything through God who strengthens us, to break the eight. What is needed now is that we become united as one people so that we can work towards such a goal. Whatever happened during the elections should be settled. I’m therefore urging the Stephen Ntim and Justin Kodua administration to end their ‘honeymoon’ and assume duties- they should move to the polling stations and engage the grassroot members especially the polling station executives and support in whatever capacity they can.”
He urged party members not to have any grievances against their fellow members as it will lead to apathy which will go against the party.
“NDC has nothing better to offer us. It’s just dumsor, cash and carry health services and corruption. We shouldn’t be envious of those who have been given appointments. When the time is due, we will all benefit from the party. Let’s work so hard to break the eight years jinx”, he advised.
Stressing that “the elected executives should also know that they’ve been elected to serve and must therefore behave as such, devoid of arrogance. It’s difficult to break a broom if it’s tied together”.
