The Leadership Of NPP Must Crack The Whip On Kennedy Agyapong- Awal Mohammed

A member of the communications team for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Awal Mohammed has called on the leadership of the party to crack the whip on persons who say things to tarnish the image of the party.

He notes that a spokesperson of one of the Presidential aspirants had said that if his candidate wins, they wouldn’t contest the elections based on Akufo-Addo’s legacies and achievements.

This he noted that goes against the fortunes of the party and there’s the need for the party to ensure that such attitudes are stopped.

He spoke during the newspaper review on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV.

“I’m calling on the leadership of the party. The General Secretary, Justine Koduah; the National Chairman, Stephen Ntim; and Nana B to call out such persons before it gets too late. We need to rebuke people who do things contrary to the party’s constitution. The most important thing is the November 4 elections, he said.

“After 4th November, the showdown will be between NDC and NPP. Mahama hails from the Savannah region and the region has seven constituencies. However, as it stands, NPP has three constituencies out of the seven. The strongholds of the NDC which are the Zongo communities, Volta and northern region, with Dr. Bawumia as our candidate, we can easily tackle those constituencies. Because, he has won the heart of the electorates there”, he said.

He disclosed that Dr. Bawumia will definitely choose an Akan running mate, so that when he tackles the northern belt, the running mate does for the southern belt.
