Deputy Director of Protocol for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Frimpong, has said that the journey of breaking-the-eight-year jinx in 2024 begins with the voters’ registration exercise.
He explains that how best the party will be able to mobilize its likeminded folks to ensure that they get registered is one of the surest ways to ensure that party emerges victorious in 2024.
“The only party we have is the New Patriotic Party (NPP)…our forbearers did their bit and its left to us to also continue to do more for the party by setting new records…we can only break-the-eight when we ensure that our people are registered, so that they can be eligible to vote in 2024”, he said.
He added that the party at the national level has made provision for the constituencies to mobilize applicants to get their voters ID.
“We’ve given the necessary support for the mobilization of applicants. The NPP is a party that rewards loyalty, sacrifice and long service to the party…if you are an electoral area executive, polling station executive, constituency, regional or national officer, what you need to know is that those who served the party in 2016 were rewarded with appointment when the party came into power. This is the same way if we all work together to win the 2024 elections, all officers will be rewarded. The party is capable of evening rewarding members who are not officers for their yeoman’s job to the party”, he said.
He urged that NPP shouldn’t allow the NDC to have more applicants registered than the NPP or else, it will go against the fortunes of the party.
“Let’s engage our likeminded people to register”, he concluded.
