A communications specialist at the Presidency, Lady Vera Wiredu has said that Ghana has become the ‘USA’ of Africa.
According to her, Ghana has become a go-to hub for citizens of other Africa countries. Thus, they keep trooping in and out of the country to seek among other things, refuge, trade and also invest.
She notes that most of these achievements were possible due to the better governance of President Akufo-Addo and his able vice President.
Speaking on Movement in the morning show on Movement TV/Wontumi Radio, she told Kwaku Dawuro, the host that “Ghana has now become a safe haven for many African countries because it’s safe and better with a fertile environment. Today, look at the currency crisis happening in Nigeria. Generators are always operating because there are mostly blackouts- as we speak South Africa is equally facing ‘dumsor’.
She added that as these countries continue to face these challenges, Ghana has been an exception- as despite the global crisis, government is still working assiduously to better the livelihood of the citizenry.
“Ghanaians needs to appreciate the effort of the government and encourage the former to do more,” she stressed.
