The NPP Has Made History With The 1D1F Project- Aseidu Kokro

A deputy national communications Director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Asiedu Kokro, has said that President Akufo-Addo is making histories which are unprecedented.

According to him, aside from Kwame Nkrumah, who launched the 7 years agenda of industrialization, there has been no other government that has built more factories and industries than the Akufo-Addo led government.

In buttressing his argument, he told Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV that “we have over 278 industries with many at the stage of completion, whiles One Hundred and Twenty-Five (125) is currently operating and producing many products. The President’s recent tour saw the commissioning of many factories including the lubricant and Gas factory in the Central region, the tomato factory in berekum too”.

“We keep talking about the fluctuation of the dollar but, if there had a government that had also pushed this agenda of industrialization like President Akufo-Addo is doing, we wouldn’t have been having this conversation. The NPP has made records and our party members should be talking about them”, he said.

He was however quick to add that some journalists are silence on what he described as monumental. Adding that the NPP government is focus and this is unprecedented.

In giving a regional Breakdown of the factories, he said there are five (5) in Ahafo, fifty-four (54) in the Ashanti region, ten (10) in the Bono East, Bono has nineteen (19), Central nineteen (19), Eastern 37, Greater Accra 76, Northern 6, Oti 3, Savannah 4, Upper East 7, Upper West 7, Volta 13.

“Who ever thought that there will be a day when Toyota will assembly a plant here in Ghana? The building of an assembly plant by these giant automotive manufacturers like Nissan, VW, tells you the deliberate polices of a good government”, he said.

Adding that “CPP is the government that launched the 7 years industrial plan, where they were able to build more Industries but after the overthrown of Kwame Nkrumah in 1966, no government has been able to launch the agenda of industrialization except this government led by President Akufo-Addo”.

He however, bemoaned lack of communication by party members on the good things the government is executing.

“I have profiled about fifty (50) to eighty (80) government officials who don’t even post anything about the presidency. We have been able to do so well as a party. Although we are not in normal times, we are making history as a government in power hence I’m urging all party members and sympathizers to propagate the good work of the government. Communication is a business of every party member and not just communicators”, he stressed.
