In a very angry tone, Alhaji Baba Gado has stated that he believes the NPP MP who might have voted for Alban Bagbin to become Speaker of Parliament, might have mistaken and drunk fluid from his or her car battery instead of tea.
“The NPP MP who voted for Bagbin might have drunk car battery water not tea”, he said as he explained their action has affected the ruling NPP government.
He recounted that in the 2020 elections, the NPP flagbearer President Akufo-Addo, beat John Mahama of the NDC with more than 500,000 votes but Parliament turned out to be a different place because the MPs failed the party.
Alhaji Gado, who is a nursing an ambition to become the NPP’s National Vice Chairman stated on Wontumi TV that the NDC lacks basic ideas about the E-Levy and can’t present any solution when it concerns economic management.
He explained that when the NDC is questioned to present alternative to the E-Levy, they propose the nation should go to IMF.
“NDC said e-levy is not good and NPP asked for solution and they are saying we should go to IMF. Rawlings took us to IMF, and Kufuor came to rescue us, Mills and Mahama took us there and Akufo-Addo has come to rescue us once again. I blame NPP for what we are facing”, Alhaji Baba Gado said.
