The Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem, Honourable Andy Appiah Kubi has noted that the only industrial park in Ghana which is the Tema extra processing zone was built by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He said that the Tema extra processing park is one of the 3 industrial parks in the whole of West Africa.
However, he was of the view that same could be replicated across all regions. Stressing that President Akufo-Addo had made plans to design and build industrial parks across the country.
He told Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio that ” Mpakadan is ready to have an industrial park because if products are being produced there, it will reach Tema port cheaper and faster than when it’s coming from the industrial park at Tema”.
Stressing that the government ought to build industrial parks around railway lines.
