The Orange Girl Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Ghana has feasted with street children in Accra to reminisce the birth of Christ and celebrate Boxing Day which symbolizes giving.
The event which took place on Monday 26th December 2022 began from 37 in Accra and ended at Madina Overhead.
According to the team celebrating Christmas with under privileged children depicts the very essence of Christmas and the true act of Christianity.
Speaking to the founder of the group Ms. Ethel Nanayaa Amoako Baffoe, she said that the team embarked on the project to put smiles on the faces of children and persons living on the street.
“Christ was birthed to saved the world. A part of the Bible reads ‘for God so love the world for he gave his only begotten son’. Christmas is all about giving and putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged. Celebrating Christmas with people living on the street brings us fulfillment. More than 160 people living on the street were fed”, she said.
In furtherance she urged individuals and organizations to support local NGO’s in giving back to society and thanked her donors for their continued support through out the year.
