The Party Can Offer Guidance, It Cannot Coerce Members To Stay- NPP Gen. Secretary.

General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has addressed the issue of party members going independent.

In an interview with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement in the Morning show on Movement TV, Kodua Frimpong acknowledged the challenge, stating, “It’s true, no one wants to lose in an election – it’s part of it”

He emphasized that while the party can offer guidance, it cannot coerce members to stay. “We’ve said all we need to say to them, but they insist on going. So, we remain focused and support those we’ve selected to lead the party,” he explained.

Regarding the Agona West seat, Kodua Frimpong expressed confidence in the NPP’s ability to retain it, stressing the need for additional resources and attention to achieve this goal.

He also assured that with him as the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, “breaking the eight” was certain.
