Secretary to the Presidential Elections Committee of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), William Yamoah has advised delegates of the party to ensure that the Nov. 4 primaries is held peacefully.
Speaking to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning show, he noted that the party is capable of recapturing power in the 2024 elections. However, they ought to know that there’s the need to have a united front in other to defeat the opposition. This, he noted can only be possible if they come together to ensure that the primaries are held peaceful. He stressed that the party has done its bid likewise the Electoral Commission and the Police, it is left for the delegates to also ensure that they conduct themselves well.
“The Presidential primaries will produce a winnable candidate to defeat the opposition…Hence, let’s all ensure that we come together under a united umbrella to recapture power in 2024…as its stance, all is set for the elections on Saturday, as voters register, security arrangement among others have been sorted…. let’s all do our bid to ensure that we have a free and fair election…the onus lies on everyone and not just the elections committee”, he noted.
