A former 3rd Vice Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Michael Omari Wadie, has slammed people denigrating the Government just to gain favor from former President Mahama, who is seeking to be re-elected as President.
”My teacher once said that a fool will be a fool whether he goes to school or not and I’m beginning to understand that now. I just don’t know why some people with heavy titles like Prof, Dr. among others and yet do not make any sense when they speak. I will urge the media to be very careful about the kind of experts they call to speak on certain issues. The thing is once you squander Mahama’s money, you begin to think backwards and that is what is happening”, he noted.
Chairman Omari Wadie explained that ”there are some rapists who are beginning to speak and also lamenting over hardship, thinking that it will remain like this forever so that it will ensure to the benefit of Mahama- with the mindset that when they begin to speak against the government, they will get an appointment when Mahama comes into power, which is not even going to happen”.
”The Government has already admitted that times are hard. But, I’m telling you there’s nowhere in this world that they are not feeling the brunt of the global crisis. In America, you can only buy two bottles of cooking oil at a time, due to its shortage- people are queuing for petrol but in Ghana once you have the money you can buy anything you want. We are fortunate to have President Akufo-Addo”, he said.
”This is a president who cares about his people. Things will gradually change- we will improve and definitely get over it”, he assured.
