The register used by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to elect John Mahama as flagbearer is not credible, Mr. Koku Anyidoho has sadly said.
Taking a direct swipe at his own party, the former deputy General Secretary for the NDC said “the register is not credible. You want to run an election based on fraud. Go ahead and crown somebody 99% or 100%.”
According to Mr. Anyidoho, prior to the elections Dr. Kwabena Duffuor’s team had met with the national executives of NDC to demand for the register which would be used but were denied.
Dr. Duffuor, a presidential aspirant pulled out of the race after initially filing an interlocutory injunction to stop the NDC primaries.
The NDC Flagbearer hopeful had cited anomalies with the NDC electoral album for his suit.
Addressing the development on Movement TV which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, Mr. Koku Anyidoho said “we had a meeting with them based on goodwill that is why the case was withdrawn from court. It never happened so Duffuor had to pull out from the contest.”
