Parliamentary candidate hopeful on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) for Wassa Amenfi East, Ernest Frimpong, has opined that there’s no track record that favours John Dramani Mahama, that could help win secure a victory in 2024.
According to him, there are a lot of monumental project and innovative contributions on the side of the NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, that makes him stand tall and at a more advantaged position to become the next President of Ghana.
In that same vein, he advised supporters of the various candidates of the Presidential race, to rally behind the elected flagbearer to ensure that although their favourite didn’t emerge victorious, the main focus is to have NPP win the 2024 elections. Hence, must campaign vigorously for Dr. Bawumia.
He spoke with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio.
“Let’s all channel our energies and resources to campaign for Dr. Bawumia…the internal elections are we need to come together in unity…our benefit as a party is to win power…if we are not united, before we would realise, we are in opposition and when it happens so, all we’ve done as a party will not be of any benefit…our candidate is marketable and capable of becoming the next President…we shouldn’t let our guards down at all”, he said.
The kind of thing Dr. Bawumia has been able to do even as a Vice President, John Dramani Mahama, hasn’t been able to do even half of that when he was the President”, he added.
