A communications team member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ishmael Adams, has joined the big wigs of the party to support the incumbent General Secretary, John Boadu, in his bid to be retained in the NPP’s upcoming national elections.
Justifying his decision on the Movement In The Morning political show, Mr. Adams noted that Mr. Boadu stands tall among his contenders.
“All those contesting for the General Secretary position are good, but at this crucial time, John Boadu is the man to go with”, he said.
He continued to say that John Boadu is the only tried and tested candidate among the others and as such, he’s the best Chief Scribe to lead the party ahead of the crucial election in 2024.
According to him, considering the worth of investments the NPP has made in John Boadu over the years, it will be politically unwise for the delegates to sidestep him for another General Secretary, especially when the party shall be going into the 2024 general elections with a new Flag bearer and some new executives.
“The NPP cannot and must not as a party allow such an experienced hand to go waste as we strive to break the 8 year hurdle previous governments have failed to cross”, he added.
He stressed that the 2024 election is not a child’s play, and the NPP must jealously avoid a ‘trial and error ‘game with a sensitive position like the General Secretary.
“There can be no doubt about the fact that John Boadu, the incumbent General Secretary of the NPP has proven his worth when it comes to winning elections for his party,” he explained.
