A communicator of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Kofi Ntiamoah has advised the National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi to use the GHC500k defamation suit against him as a wake up call and quit the lies he propagate against people without evidence.
In 2019 Dr Opoku Prempeh popularly called Napo took Sammy Gyamfi to court for defamation. Dr Prempeh, who doubles as the MP for Manhyia South, pleaded with the court to fine Sammy Gyamfi GHC1 million, for allegedly making defamatory statements about him. Aside from the request for a large fine, the writ of summons, filed on 25th June by Sarkodie Baffuor Awuah & Partners, said Dr Prempeh had asked the court to order Sammy Gyamfi to retract and apologize for the defamatory statement within seven days after judgment.
Speaking he Kofi Ntiamoah said that ”we are all aware of the calibre of person Sammy Gyamfi is- this is a wake up call for him. He should be very careful of what he says in his quest to do propaganda. I advise all communicators to focus on the things that will lead to the development of the country when we get the chance to speak”.
