Dr Nana Ayew Afriyie has opened up about what he believes and perceives is running the political career of the Assin North Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Agyapong.
The Effiduase Asokore Constituency MP disclosed on the Wontumi Morning Show that too much ego, business and pride has accounted for destruction Kennedy Agyapong is going through.
“Too much of ego, too much of business and pride is what is pushing my brother down”, Dr Nana Ayew Afriyie who described himself as a close friend of Kennedy Agyapong said.
In his view, Kennedy Agyapong is behaving like he is rich and full so “he wants to destroy the party”.
He therefore advised Mr. Agyapong not to go that route adding that he has personally spoken to him to tone down with some of his utterances.
“Ken has to be careful” Dr Nana Ayew Afriyie said as he mentioned last Saturday’s ‘Showdown’ Walk held by Kennedy Agyapong in Kumasi as a needless one.
He explained that shortly after Kennedy Agyapong and his team had finished with their walk, the people at Central Market spoke and made it clearer they don’t support him but rather, vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.
Dr Nana Ayew Afriyie urged vice President Bawumia to consider picking an indigene from Ashanti Region as his running mate and explained that by doing so, “we will move with speed, love and sweet talks to vote”.
