A communicator for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Solomon Assante has said that the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) will guarantee NPP’s breaking of the 8.
On Thursday, 15th March, 2018, President Akufo-Addo delivered a key note address at the National Conference on Technical and Vocational Educational and Training (TVET) which was held at Koforidua Technical University.
In his presentation, he said, ‘’what I envisage in the technical and vocational education section would involve a truly radical change in attitude on the part of all of us. Throughout the years, enough lip service has been paid to the TVET sector’’.
Today TVET has become a reality.
According to Solomon Assante, TVET is a strong catalyst to break the 8 come 2024
“Just as the free SHS policy helped us in the 2016 elections, TVET can help us break the 8. All we need to do is proper publicity and communication and explain its essence to the masses’’, he said.
The purpose of the TVET is to equip people with Technical and professional skills needed for the development of the country and self-employment.
