Veep’s Secretary Plants 51 Seedlings To Celebrate His 51st Birthday- Urges Ghanaians To Follow Suit


Ghanaians have been encouraged to make tree planting a regular practice, especially on special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries.

This advise was given by the Secretary to the Vice President of the Republic, Mr. Augustine Blay, following a tree planting exercise he embarked on to mark his 51st Birthday celebration.

He planted 51 seedlings, whiles others planted 9 seedlings to support such a good cause. These seeds comprise 20 coconuts, 20 lemons, and 20 shade trees.

This gesture according to him, was aimed at promoting a sustainable future for Ghana and contributing to the country’s growth and prosperity.

Speaking on the sidelines of his birthday celebration, Mr. Blay emphasized the importance of tree planting, stating that “Life is precious, and trees are a symbol of prosperity.

He noted that trees would become a vital resource, and Ghana could benefit significantly from this shift. He emphasized the need for the country to strategically position itself to take advantage of this opportunity.

As he marked his birthday, Mr. Blay expressed his wish to see Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana, become the next President of the nation.

He expressed his belief in Dr. Bawumia’s vision and leadership, confident that he would lead Ghana to even greater heights.

The celebration also featured a gathering of 120 senior citizens aged 65 and above, who shared their wisdom and experiences with the guests..
