A communications team member for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alfred Adenta Kumi, has warned former President John Mahama that Ghana is after a competent person to lead the country and not a national joker.
Speaking in ana interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning, on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Adenta Kumi reiterated that former President John Mahama’s plea to Ghanaians for another term in office should be disregarded as according to him, his motive will bring the economy to ruins.
”Anytime John Mahama’s issue comes up, there’s one thing I always say which is that we are not looking for a national joker, Ghana is looking for competence and that competence, you ask yourself if you possess it and if you were able to live up to expectations when you were given power”, he said.
It is this same John Mahama who said no one has the right to criticize him if the person hadn’t tasted presidency before. Now Mahama has tasted Presidency and the question is what did he do?
Adding that “let’s assume free SHS didn’t exist and let’s take National Health Insurance, before power he promised us one time premium but collapsed it instead”.
Now he is crying and begging Ghanaians to give him another chance since he couldn’t fulfill all his promises including free SHS.
Is he not the same person who said when he is given 1billion, he would not use it for free SHS. I’m not surprised he said Ghanaians have short memory so we shouldn’t waste our time on Mahama,” He said.
