We Are Renovating The Asomdwe Park Into A Tourist Attraction Centre- Deputy CEO, CODA

The deputy Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Coastal Development Authority(CODA), Emmanuel Anim, has stated that the renovation of the Asomdwe Park will serve as a tourist attraction center which will generate revenue to the state.

Speaking on Movement In The Morning Show on Wontumi Radio/ Movement TV, he debunked claims that the grave was not opened and therefore no desecration of the body of the former President, H.E John Evans Atta Mills, has taken place.

According to him, the authority liaised with the relevant state institutions in charge of state monuments before embarking on the renovation works.

“The Coastal Development Authority, acting upon a directive from President Akufo-Addo, prioritized the renovation of the burial grounds of the late Professor Atta Mills. Did Samuel Mills visit the burial place of his late brother prior to the state of the renovation? He wouldn’t have been making such allegations”, he told Kwaku Dawuro.

CODA is currently embarking on renovation works at the Asomdwe park to transform it into a national monument befitting its status as the final resting place of President Mills.

This has been met with several accusations from the late President’s brother, Samuel Atta-Mills, who claimed that the family was unaware of such a  move.
