Economic advisor and spokesperson for the vice President, Dr Gideon Boako, says the New Patriotic Party cannot have a successful election and emerge as winners, without basing on the records of President Kufuor and President Akufo Addo.
Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Movement show, on Movement TV/Wontumi, Dr Boako concluded that for the NPP to have a positive outcome of the elections, it is required of them to communicate and campaign with the records of former President Kufuor and the sitting President, President Akufo Addo.
He lambasted some party members whose sole intention is to make the party unpopular by propagating false news, and added that such people are in no position to occupy the leadership position in the party.
According to him ”some people ask questions like what Bawumia is coming to do on the ticket of the NPP since the party lacks record or message, since they claim the gov’t has failed. But I’m happy the party and polling station people have realised people spreading propaganda about the party due to the thirst for power, are people who cannot be leaders of the party.
Take it or leave it, we cannot go to 2024 elections and be successful without using President Kufuor and President Akufo Addo’s records to campaign. So if you claim President Akufo Addo’s records are nothing to write home about just because you want to garner more votes for yourself, that means you are letting the party members understand that you will fail to defend the record of this party, should power be given to you.”
