A native of the Northern Region, Latif Maiga, has disclosed that men marry dead bodies in the Region.
Speaking on Wontumi Nka Wasem, a social program on Movement TV, Latif revealed why most men in the Region do not get married especially to the women who come from the said Region.
“The women have made marriage a business venture. They intentionally marry a man, divorce him and move to another person, get married again and file for a divorce. They can marry up to three men in a period of three or four months. They don’t even tell you they have already been married or have kids”, he said.
He stated that the women end up selling the things the men bring as bride price. Adding that some of them are now into cloth, cow, rice, maize and other businesses.
‘’When a woman dies before a man performs her marriage right, the man is made to marry the dead body. You will pay her bride price”, he disclosed.
