A former communications Director for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yaw Adomako Baafi has said that the party needs strategic people who will ensure the party breaks the 8.
‘’No matter how knowledgeable you are if you don’t have strong inter-personal skills you can’t be a leader. A lot of them are fond of roaming about lavishly in their cars, they need to go to the grounds and get the job done. I remember when the government decided to make a U-turn to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), I visited people at the UTC and kantamanto and other grassroot areas to explain to them what this really means for them to understand”, he told Oheneba Asiedu on Movement In The Morning Show on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV.
He indicated that NPP needs persons who people would be willing to vote for the party for their sake.
“I know some NDC members who voted for the party for my sake. We need people who are strategic with the media so they can set agenda to favour the party”, he said.
Adding to it, he stated, “2024’s victory requires people who can go beyond the NPP to reach various groups such as the Civil Society Organizations (CSO) and people in the diaspora. We need people with lobbying skills, if we don’t elect good leaders, breaking the 8 will be difficult”.
